SMALL BORE Modified

**** AGES 10 to 16 YEARS OF AGE *****

72 - 73mm Bore B & S Vanguard Motor (10 to 16 yrs old)

35 C.I. Heads

Weight limit is 750lbs 

57 * 6.5 * 10 Left Right tire (any compound)

 

 

Chassis   

1. Must have (4) 6" Steel bodied non-adjustable Pro Shocks - any standard valving allowed .  

 2. Must have (4)  10" Hoosier Racing Tires (any compound, size or style allowed)  

3. Must have a bead-lock wheel on right rear.

4.  Must have 1 3/4" Splined aluminum rear axle (51"-53" long ). 

5. Must weigh 775lbs. with driver after each race.

6. Body must match Smith Fabrications templates. 

7. Must be built by Smith Fabrications - no exceptions.                                                                          

Engine     

1.Any Briggs & Stratton Vanguard V-Twin engine with a 1" PTO crankshaft may be used (16-23 H.P.)

2. Must be stock appearing from original manufacture. ( Heads,Engine Block,Intake Manifold,starter and covers must be standard B & S parts) Any internal modifications to heads,block and intake manifold are allowed.  

3.Aluminum flywheels are allowed. 

4.  Roller rocker arms are allowed.

5. Aluminum push rods are allowed. 

6.Any piston and connecting rods are allowed.

7.Any solid lifter type camshaft is allowed. 

Carburetion

1. All carbs must be original Briggs & Stratton 2 bbl. carb part numbers.

2. All carbs must be stock appearing from original manufacture design.

3. Interna modifications are allowed.

4. Carb elbows (intake manifold & air cleaner) must be Briggs & Stratton parts.

5. Any spacing between  intake elbow and manifold is allowed as long as carb remains under engine cover.

Exhaust 

1.All exhaust must exit thru ONE noise approved muffler.

2. All exhaust must remain in the confines of the body of the car.

SAFETY 

1. Must have an approved 5 point seat belt harness with an expiration date of 3 yrs. or less.

2. Belts must be bolted to or wrapped around the frame. 

3. Must have a Kill Switch and Marked Fuel shut-off in the car.

4.Must have an approved aluminum seat bolted in with no less than (4) 3/8 grade eight bolts and nuts. 

5. Head Rest is recommended.  All rules are final and at the discretion of Smith Fabrications.
